Peace in Dreamland by Tetra-007 Peace in Dreamland by Tetra-007
Inspired by :iconsuper100miki:'s "recent" Meta Knight; and the Kirby anime.

The rather simply coloring style and the choice of colors make this picture look very relaxed. Great job!

Nice to see Kirby and Meta Knight getting along. I love how you did the background with the pinkish hues :D :aww:

Thank you!

You mean, getting along for the next ten seconds...I imagine once kirby is done eating that apple, there won't be much peace anymore! Hehe...;D

Thank you so much (and for the encouragement earlier, it helped me get done sooner). :)

Actually, I'm still learning a lot about digital coloring and still figuring a lot of stuff out. Recently I just learned how to use the lasso tool, even! I've never felt that it was my forte (that's line art and traditional, but my scanner stinks).

I guess though that ask for help/critiques/(bugging certain friends for advice who you know are more skilled than you...lol) is a really good way to get better. :iconDrManical: really helped me when I was finishing up this painting, especially his advice on how to paint/color/"render" Whispy's leafs.

Sorry for the late response, though. I was really busy these last few days.

Ah, then you're quite a quick learner. I don't even know how to use the lasso tool myself. Perhaps I should take the time to learn it myself now that you mention it. I know what you mean about the scanner, I too have one that doesn't work as well, you can see how so many pixels and it is very blurry but I manage with it somehow hehe.

It's good that you ask for help and critiques, I can see that it definitely helps you out a lot. I should do that more often, but many times I am quite shy to ask for any. I should really overcome this if I want to improve much more in art. So...starting now, may I ask how did you colored Whispy's leafs? x3 I can't help but stare at them for a long time, they just came out very impressive and I'm having a hard time figuring out on how did you do them so well.

It's quite fine, I understand that you have other things to do so please, do not mind at all. :) I also apologize for the late response, I was visiting family members so I had no access to the computer.
